MINDFULNESS MEDITATION: GET PRESENT TO YOUR SOURCE OF LIGHT.

FIND YOUR LIGHT SOURCE
Were you able to find the source of light that replenishes your energy? If you did, let’s use it now to recharge your battery with your midweek Enchanted Breath. If you don’t have one, choose one now. Mindfulness is all about the present moment and living fully in it.
Select a positive, light source of energy that brings you peace and/or joy. It can be the sun, Divine presence, the radiant smile of a loved one, the laughter of a child, or even the backlit glow of light behind a raincloud. Whatever you choose is fine.
Gently close your eyes and set an intention that for the next few moments there is nowhere to go and nothing to do but be present to this source.
Take a few deep and cleansing breaths in through your nose and release through your mouth. Take another deep and even breath in, pause at the top, and hold your breath for the count of four, and release, slowly and evenly.
Be mindful of tension that you’re holding in your physical body, your thoughts or emotions and release it. On the next inhale, imagine those places of darkness as rain clouds in front of you. On the exhale, purse your lips and begin to blow the rainclouds away in an even stream of breath. Repeat with as many inhales and exhales as you need to dissipate the dark clouds completely. Return to that source of light and see it as even brighter and more magnificent than before.
BECOME THE LIGHT
Inhale and imagine yourself filled with that light inside of you. When you hold your breath at the top, for the count of four, imagine that light filling every crevice of your being. On the exhale release every bit of tension. Spend the next moment or two basking in the warm, healing glow of light that fills and surrounds you. Then return to your present tasks lighter, more centered, and as the source of light that you are intended to be.
Enchanted breaths are the “ahh, the haha, and the aha! of life.”
