MEDITATION: THE BALM FOR STRESS
Meditation is your grounding handle to hold on to in the storm. Now is the perfect time to protect the small white space on our calendars and use it for meditation. There’s a tiny window before Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas, and the New Year, consume us. Quiet moments provide opportunities for growth and spiritual connection. In the thick of the holidays? Not so much. Blank space can offer us much needed reflection on holidays past, and planning for implementing changes during the busy season ahead.
THINGS THAT CAN GET YOU DOWN
For some, the rain and cold can keep us inside, decreasing our hours of Vitamin D from the sun. There are decreased hours of light each day. Mother Nature’s glory deteriorates and goes dormant. The landscape turns gray or brown. People tend to eat, drink, and spend too much. There is a hushed issue of desire to connect or belong during the holidays and often people go about it in the wrong way, giving their self-esteem a knockdown. There is little down time. The season is fraught with unresolved family issues and dynamics. It doesn’t have to be depressing, however. It can be a time for active, introspective clearing, just as when we winterize our gardens. Clear space in your mind and we’ll weed through it in the weeks to come.
CHANGE ON THE HORIZON FOR OUR NATION
This year, we’re about to experience a change in leadership, with the Presidential election upon us. We can choose to remain as a nation divided, or we can unite on the issues that matter to us most. Before entering our votes, we must strongly consider who’s more aligned with repair of the world. We must envision what the world could look like, elevated. We ask ourselves, “Who is most able to help us achieve that?”
THE ZODIAC SIGN OF SCOPRIO
November’s Zodiac sign is Scorpio, represented by the scorpion. People born under the sign, are loyal, resourceful, and passionate. With no gray area, they can also be manipulative, controlling, obsessive and jealous. We have to monitor these qualities in ourselves and watch for the sting of the scorpion’s tail. The debates and leaked information have revealed the worst of this kind of energy.
SCORPION FACTS VS. METAPHOR
The facts about actual scorpions tell of qualities that metaphorically can be seen in some people. Scorpions have six to twelve eyes, but poor vision. They’re informed by vibrations in their environment. All are venomous. They live around rocks, sand, and trees. They’re nocturnal and sensitive to light. They can only consume a liquid diet and so inject their prey with venom that turns the insides to liquid. Then they can suck it out of them. The females consume the males after mating if they don’t move quickly enough. I’ve read stories of scorpions in the Garden of Eden who, initially, ate only vegetation. This all speaks of the Divisive Dragons of Darkness. The remedy lies in owning your set of Enchanted Keys to use in times of extreme stress and vulnerability.
WE ARE THE BRINGERS OF LIGHT
We are charged with the task of turning darkness into light. Each of us has this responsibility. We can’t put it all on our leaders to achieve. We are the bringers of light. Let’s keep our Enchanted Keys close and stand strong together to build a world of peace.
We are completing our month-long focus on Enchanted Key #10-Meditation and will begin November with a look at Stress in more depth, along with what to do.
