Intention Setting For Every Month of the Year
Intention setting shouldn’t just occur at the New Year. It’s a useful tool for each month of the year, every week, or even every day.
Set Your Direction
By setting your intention, you mindfully create the direction in which you’d like your life to take. None of us has the ability to control life but when we chart a course and map out the direction we’d like to take, we are more likely to arrive there.
What Will You Manifest This Month?
If you’re new to a practice of intention setting, you might want to begin with doing this monthly. As we take our Enchanted Breath this week, we can use it to envision a word, feeling, or image that is representative of what we’d like to manifest this month.

Rather read through it? Here’s the focus of your Enchanted Breath. Find a comfortable seated position with legs uncrossed and feet flat on the floor or ground. Take a few deep and purifying breaths, inhaling fully and exhaling all of the stagnant qi in your lungs. Another deep and cleansing breath in through your nose and release audibly, through your mouth, expelling any tension in your body.
It’s a new month. Gently close your eyes and imagine all of the tension in your physical body melting farther and farther away from you. Focus on those spots in your body that are still tense and breathe into them. Let them fully release.
Relax your body, mind, spirit, and emotions. Take a moment to set your intention for the month ahead. What would you like this month to be about for you? Allow the answer to simply float into your awareness. What would you like this month to be about for you?
Now gently open your eyes and consider what steps you would have to take to create the kind of month you wish to manifest. Jot down a few keywords to keep it in your awareness throughout the month.
Take one more slow and full breath inward and release. Now inhale gratitude and exhale peace.
Enchanted Breaths are the “ahh, the haha, and the aha!” of life.
